Community Guidelines

A safe, respectful space — speak freely, treat people well, keep India-first vibes.

Last updated · 24 August 2026

These guidelines sit alongside our Terms of Service. Breaking them can lead to content removal, limits, or account action.

Be respectful

  • Disagree without dehumanising people or communities.
  • No targeted harassment, stalking, or pile-ons.
  • No hate speech or slurs aimed at caste, religion, region, language, gender, sexuality, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Respect privacy — do not share someone’s private info without consent.

Threats, violence & dangerous content

  • No threats of violence against anyone, and no wishing or celebrating serious harm.
  • No graphic or gratuitous violence, and no incitement to riot or attack.
  • Nothing that promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders. If you are struggling, please reach out to someone you trust.
  • No instructions for weapons, explosives, or other dangerous acts.

Adult & sexual content

  • No pornography or sexually explicit media.
  • No non-consensual intimate imagery, and no sexual content shared to harass or humiliate someone.
  • No sexual solicitation or trafficking of any kind.

Keep it lawful (India)

  • No illegal goods, scams, or clear calls to commit crimes under Indian law (including the IT Act, 2000).
  • No sexual content involving minors — zero tolerance under Child Safety and POCSO.
  • No terrorist content or organised hate that incites violence.
  • Do not post content in the prohibited categories listed in our Terms (aligned with the IT Rules, 2021).

Authenticity

  • Do not impersonate people, brands, or institutions.
  • Do not run spam networks, fake engagement, or malware links.
  • Label sensitive media when you can; we may mark or hide it.

Copyright & intellectual property

  • Only post work you created or have permission to share. Credit is not the same as permission.
  • No pirated films, music, books, software, or paid content posted without the rights holder’s consent.
  • No use of someone else’s trademark or branding in a way that misleads people about who you are.
  • If your work was posted without permission, report it with the Copyright reason or write to our Grievance Officer.

India & public discourse

  • Critique ideas and policies; do not celebrate harm to people.
  • Be careful with rumours during crises — verify before you amplify.
  • Report posts that look like fraud, abuse, or dangerous misinformation.

How to report

Reporting is anonymous — the person you report is never told who filed it.

  • A post: tap on the post → Report post → pick a reason → submit.
  • An account: open the profile → tap Report account.
  • A message, listing, or reel: use the menu on that item.
  • Anything urgent or off-platform: reach us via Contact or the Grievance Officer.

Our moderators review every report against these guidelines and may remove content, limit an account, or suspend it. Not every report gets a public reply.

How to block someone

Blocking is immediate and needs no reason. Open the profile → tap Block. You can also block from the menu on any post or chat.

  • Their posts and reposts disappear from your feed.
  • You stop following each other, and pending requests are cancelled.
  • They cannot message you or start a new conversation.
  • Manage everyone you have blocked — and unblock at any time — in Settings → Blocked accounts.

Blocking and reporting are separate. Blocking protects your own experience; reporting brings the content to our moderators. You can do both.

Appeals

If you believe an action was a mistake, contact us with your username and what happened. We may reverse decisions when new context warrants it.
