Public web indexing is opt-in

By default, posts are not indexed by Google or shown on public pages like /posts. Members must enable public-web sharing on their account and/or individual posts. Private accounts and followers-only posts are never eligible.

News aggregation

India headlines on Namaste Indian are aggregated from public publisher feeds. We link to the original article and attribute the source. We do not rewrite wire copy as our own journalism. Publishers remain responsible for their articles under applicable law; we may remove or limit surfaces that host clearly unlawful or unsafe material when we obtain actual knowledge through reports, court, or authorised government orders under the IT Act, 2000 and IT Rules, 2021.

User-generated content & intermediary role

Member posts, comments, and Hub listings are user-generated. We do not pre-approve every post. We publish clear rules in Community Guidelines and Terms, provide reporting tools, and operate a Grievance Officer channel. We may label, limit, or remove content that violates those rules or Indian law (including election-period restrictions or other lawful directions when applicable).

Profiles & verification

Public profiles show identity members choose to share. Namaste Verified marks are issued by the platform team and do not guarantee endorsement of every statement a verified account posts. Impersonation and deceptive identity claims may lead to removal.

Misinformation & crisis rumours

• Critique ideas and policies; do not celebrate harm to people or communities.
• Be careful amplifying unverified claims during crises, elections, or communal tensions — verify before you share.
• Report fraud, deepfakes used to harm, or dangerous misinformation via in-app Report or Contact.

Corrections & contact

Report inaccurate public pages or indexing concerns via Contact, Feedback, or the Grievance Officer. Legal and privacy details live in our Terms, Privacy Policy, and Legal centre.
